I loved the first book Wicked Lovely but it took me a while to accept the ending of Ink Exchange...it just felt too unfinished

The sequel to Wicked Lovely returns us to Marr's unique world of faeries. This time, the protagonist of the novel is Leslie, one of Aislinn's friends. Leslie is having a hard time in life and desperate for change, wants a tattoo. Her life begins to change in many ways after the tattoo. The king of the Dark Court is interested in her during the tattooing process, but will she choose the king or another fairy to be with?
