Executive Committee meeting summary - January 8, 2026

The Hennepin County Library Board met on January 8, 2026, at Ridgedale Library, room 174, 12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka.

Welcome and Call to Order

Chair Jessica Kraft called the Executive Committee meeting of January 8, 2026, to order at 5:31 p.m. and welcomed all in attendance.

Attendance of Library Board Members

Library Board Clerk Lillian Albrecht took the roll call. The Board met the quorum with five members present.

Approval of Agenda

Motion: Connolly

Approval of October 23, 2025, Meeting Minutes

Motion: Brissett
Second: Stetler
Motion passed.

Executive Committee Appointments

The committee discussed how to fill committee seats during the period between member’s terms ending and appointing new members to committees at the annual meeting. Chair Kraft agreed to find volunteers to serve on the Executive and Nominating Committees and appoint them during the January 28 meeting.

January 28, 2026, Board Meeting Agenda

The committee reviewed and edited the draft agenda, noting a discussion on the study of Franklin Library could emerge during new business. They also discussed how to provide support for library staff during current events and agreed individual members could write letters of support to staff to be distributed by library administration.
