The Hennepin County Library Board met on October 23, 2025, at Ridgedale Library, Robert H. Rohlf room, 12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka.

Welcome and Call to Order

Chair Jessica Kraft called the Executive Committee meeting of October 23, 2025, to order at 5:31 p.m. and welcomed all in attendance.

Attendance of Library Board Members

Library Board Clerk Lillian Albrecht took the roll call. The Board met the quorum with five members present.

Approval of Agenda

Approval of August 21, 2025, Meeting Minutes

Motion: Brissett
Second: Stetler
Motion passed.

Library Board Committee Summary

The Board reviewed the Committee Summary document that describes Library Board work and made edits clarifying the Board’s advisory role. The Board agreed that further edits should be made in tandem with the review of the Board’s bylaws in 2026 and tabled the item.

Library Board Microphone

Deputy Director of Support Services J.R. Genett gave a demonstration of the pocket talker device that Board members could use to assist hearing each other. The Board agreed this solution would improve hearing and encouraged members interested in using this device to contact the Board Clerk.

November 12, 2025, Board Meeting Agenda

The Board reviewed and edited the draft agenda. Library administration will see if another Commissioner is interested in attending the meeting in place of Commissioner Goettel.

There being no further business, a motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
