STEAM Squad

The Hennepin County Library STEAM Squad delivers STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) learning activities for youth at participating libraries.

About STEAM Squad

Hennepin County Library hires teen interns ages 16-18 and equips them with tools to research, design and implement STEAM-based activities for youth in a fun and supportive environment. STEAM Squad interns develop communication, collaboration, project management and problem-solving skills as part of their internship experience.

The mission of the STEAM Squad is to inspire lifelong library users who view the library as a space for enrichment and connection. Library youth participating in STEAM activities develop critical thinking and problems solving skills and gain confidence in learning.
