Hennepin County Library discontinuing Freegal service

Hennepin County Library will discontinue the Freegal music streaming service April 14, 2023.

Online music streaming has changed since the library first offered this service and there are more music streaming resources available now than ever before. In addition to free services offered online, if you’re looking for a music streaming alternative, Hennepin County Library offers a local, Minnesota music platform, MNspin, that features more than 500 albums from Minnesota musicians. Another streaming option available on the library website offers music and performance content including jazz, folk, and classic genres.
