New Cargill Gallery exhibit: The Next Chapter

several photographs of handmade books

Hennepin County Library announces its next Cargill Gallery exhibit, The Next Chapter. This exhibit features Minnesota Book Artist Award winning works. In an age of increasing mechanization and digitalization, these are objects that compel us to recognize the endurance of the book. Some artists specialize in old-world media and techniques, while others concentrate on unconventional materials and formal qualities. In either case, these books celebrate the infinite potential of the book to surprise, inspire, delight, and engage us.

Visit this exhibit at the Cargill Gallery, located on the second floor of Minneapolis Central Library from April 5 to May 25. Join us for an artist reception on Sunday, April 7, from 3-5 p.m. in the Doty Board Room N-280 at Central Library.
