Celebrate Prince with a Limited-Edition Library Card

Hennepin County Library is honoring one of Minnesota’s most iconic artists with a limited-edition Prince library card, available while supplies last at all 41 Hennepin County Library locations.

Cards are currently available at all library locations. This page will be updated when inventory is low.

Get your Prince library card

The Prince card is available to first-time and existing cardholders.

• New patrons: Apply for your free library card at any library.
• Existing patrons: You can replace your card with the new Prince design. You’ll receive a new barcode number. You can keep your old library card, but it will no longer be active. There are no stickers to place over existing cards.

Regular card eligibility policies apply. Library cards can be issued to Hennepin County residents, employees, and property owners.

Explore music at your library

• Browse books about music and artist biographies.
• Stream Minnesota musicians on MNspin, our free streaming music service. Start with A Princely Playlist before discovering hundreds of local albums.
• Visit our vinyl listening room or reserve the piano room at Minneapolis Central Library.
• Learn, create, and record in our studio spaces at Brooklyn Park Library or the Best Buy Teen Tech Center.
• Attend regular programming at your local library to experience music and performing arts.
