Rockford Road Library refurbishment project

Renovation

Reopened April 8, 2024

About the project

Rockford Road Library serves the cities of Crystal, New Hope, and Robbinsdale. It was constructed in 1970 and received updates in 1995 and 2013. A single story, 18,790 square foot building is situated on a 2.39-acre site with a surface lot for 84 vehicles.

This building project will update interior spaces and address long-term preservation needs on the building’s exterior and parking lot. The first phase of parking lot work was completed in August 2022. The second phase of the project will encompass the remaining parking lot work, exterior preservation efforts, and interior updates. The second phase is expected to occur in 2023.
